Associate Professor Poh-Ling Tan, LLB (Hons) (U Malaya); LLB (Hons) (QUT); PhD (ANU) teaches in Griffith Law School , Queensland . She started her career in legal practice in Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia before moving to Australia where she has taught in law schools for the last 15 years. Her research interests include water law reform particularly property rights, conflict management and the sustainable management of water. She has conducted research for several Australian government departments and has recently been awarded a large grant by the National Water Commission to research into participatory planning for water resources in Northern Australia . Her expertise also lies in the areas of property law, environmental law, and Asian legal systems.
