The International Environmental Law Research Centre (IELRC) encourages the dissemination of material found on its main web site at http://www.ielrc.org and at its other micro-sites provided the following rules are respected.

Principle

Articles published by IELRC on this web site are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License.

The full text of the license can be found by clicking here.

The source should always be clearly mentioned. By source, we mean the name of the author(s), the document title, the complete URL of the article(s) and the name of IELRC (in full) must be included (see example below).

Provided these guidelines are followed, there is no further need to ask for reproduction in a textbook or community newsletter for instance.

Exceptions

1. IELRC strictly prohibits:

  • screen shots of our web sites
  • framing (i.e. including our web-page within your or someone else frame set)
  • framing pdf documents found on any part of the ielrc.org website
  • caching one or the totality of our web-page(s)

Instead of the above links should be used.

2. Copyrighted material

For any material found on this website whose copyright is claimed by a natural or legal entity, the rights of the copyright holder must be respected. In case of doubt, the nearest IELRC office will help you.

   
We expressly prohibit the use of IELRC and any IELRC material appearing on our web sites for:

Personal or corporate gain;

Party Political Advertising or the suggestion of endorsement by the International Environmental Law Research Centre of any candidate / party for public office;

Any suggestion that the International Environmental Law Research Centre might endorse a product or policy where such endorsement has not explicitly been made by IELRC itself;

Any false representation of yourself or a third party as an International Environmental Law Research Centre researcher, employee, agent, or official spokesperson;
